Welcome to the Three Little Cottages

An ideal location for a family reunion, a girls’ get-a-way or a peaceful retreat for couples. Perfect for the avid fisherman.

Our property is located 25 minutes north of Kingston, Ontario on beautiful Dog Lake. The cottages are situated on 125 acres in a natural setting, a stone's throw from the water. We have our own docking and are located next door to a public boat launch.

Dog Lake is part of the Rideau System and is renowned as a superb fishing basin. Present species are lake trout, northern pike, yellow perch, black crappie, and both large and small mouth bass. Bait and fishing licenses are available for purchase nearby. Fishing guides may be arranged through us.

The Rideau System is a series of 24 lock stations on water ways stretching from Kingston to Ottawa. Built between 1826-1832, most of its structures are intact, awarding it the triple-crown designation of a National Historic Site of Canada, a Canadian Heritage River and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Access to the Brewer’s Mills Lock is an easy paddle. Pick-up and/or drop-offs to and from the cottages may be arranged for paddlers along this route. Please e-mail for details.

We hate to brag, but…our area has received a second UNESCO designation as being a globally significant region of bio-diversity. The Frontenac Arch Biosphere is an ancient granite ridge linking the Adirondack Mountains to the Canadian Shield. The Arch received a geo-tourism charter from the National Geographic Society in January 2010. A hike around the property will demonstrate the unique features of the area.

Our land also provides fertile ground for Freedom Farm, a Community Supported Argiculture (CSA) venture and market garden. Guests may purchase fresh vegetables and some meats from our farm store located on the property. Consider a self-catered breakfast: farm fresh eggs, bacon, home-made jam, honey and maple syrup awaits your arrival. During your stay, take time to tour the garden and visit with the animals.
